Add a count of the number of crimes
You can filter by city, date, and type of crime, which then pulls the results up on the left. I would like to see a total count of the results in the list and not just "page 1 of 3". Maybe a "page 1 of 3, showing 50 results of 137" or something like that.

add Back, Forward, and Home buttons to move between views of the map.
Add a back button so users can go back to the last extent of the map they were viewing; and a corresponding forward button to move forward after a back and a Home button to go to the initial view with the whole county.

Please switch to the crimereports.com that Kirkwood is using. It's easier for my parents to use

Add a Arc Map service link so I can focus on areas within my own map.
Provide a service link... unless there is one and I don't see it?

Add a key... I do not understand why some areas have dark gray and others have light gray overlays. Where is a key that tells me what I am
Please allow users to have something that allows them to understand what they are looking at. Also, to remove the gray overlays and see the individual color markers for specific crimes.

Provide some statistics
You could use the ArcGIS geoprocessor to compute spatial analysis from your data.
For example, do accidents or larceny cluster around bus stations? etc.
1 voteThis is a possibility in later updates, particularly as a new version of the base software come out later this year.
